Arizona Flags For Sale

Arizona flags for sale – The True Meaning of the Arizona Flag

The Arizona flag has a large 5-pointed copper colored star in the center, with the horizon and the rays of the sun in the background.

The copper star is said to represent the most abundant metal available in the state of Arizona, which is copper. In fact, the mining of copper is what promoted and made the state grow to its present position in the country.

Arizona is still one of the largest copper producing states in the US. If you are a citizen of the state, you can find Arizona flags for sale from different outlets in the country.

The horizon in the Arizona flag divides the background into two halves horizontally. The bottom half is blue, with a shade of blue similar to the one in the American national flag. The top half of the flag shows a sunset which represents the beautiful sunsets that the state is very famous for.

The rays representing the sunset are depicted in 13 alternating bands of yellow and red. The 13 bands are said to represent the original 13 states of the Union, or the original US colonies.

Some people also mention that the same shades of red and yellow found in the Arizona flag can also be seen in the national flag of Spain. A Spanish exploration team led by Francisco Vasquez de Coronado visited the region belonging to the present state of Arizona in the year 1540.

Therefore, they claim that the same shades of red and yellow found in the Spanish flag are used in the state’s flag too. The Arizona flag was adopted officially on February 27, 1917.

Ever since, the flag has been a symbol of great pride for the people of the state of Arizona. You can find a lot of high quality Arizona flags for sale at Amazon.
