When I was in grade school every classroom had a small flag about the size of the ones waved by people watching a parade. The indoor pole was likely nine to twelve inches long.
In the auditorium there was a larger flag. To me that flag pole was huge but it probably was about seven feet tall. However it looked bigger to me at six. There is a two piece flag pole that can be adjusted from six to nine feet.
An indoor flag pole kit can include a floor stand, sleeve adaptors, the pole, cords and tassels, ornament adaptor, the ornament and flag rings to attach a flag to the frequently the flag is also included.
When you are going to display a flag in a house of worship or an auditorium, put the indoor pole in its stand. Place the flag to the right of the speaker or clergyman. Any other flags you are displaying are to be placed to the left of the United States flag.
If the U.S. flag and another on a wall are crossed, the American flag again must be on the right and it’s indoor pole must be in front of the other one. When the American flag is exhibited with state flags or those of associations, the U.S. flag must be in the center and higher than the others.
You can get shorter poles to use with a wall mount for an auditorium, classroom or courtroom.
When you shop for a flag pole kit to be used indoors, make sure you know where it will be placed and how much room you have to display it. You don’t want it to graze the ceiling. A nine foot flag pole should be fine for most indoor situations.
