Celebration of Independence: Facts and History of St. Vincent & the Grenadines flag

When St Vincent became an independent state in the Commonwealth, the adoption of a new flag was proudly proposed in order to show happiness for the new beginnings: being a vertical tricolour, the blue, yellow and green flag has three rhombus/diamond shapes forming a V symbol on the central part of the flag.

Facts and History of St. Vincent & the Grenadines flag indicate that prior to the acceptance of the current design another flag has won the completion for the new national emblem, however this was not accepted by the local government due to uncertain reasons.

The current flag has as purpose to show prosperity and the population’s wellness.
