The flag of Peru was used 1825 for the first time as national ensign.

Being a vertical triband featuring two red and one white colour stripe, Peru’s flag has the national coat of arms designed in the centre of the white stripe.

Facts and History of Peru flag indicate the origin of the flag’s day date (7 June): on this date, the great battle of Arica was won.

Peru’s coat of arms is all about representing glory and victory: the palm branches, the laurel ad the Holm Oak Civic Crown are nothing else but different symbols used worldwide to indicate glory.
