Mythology and speculation: Facts and History of Palestinian flag
There are many stories related to the origins of the Palestinian flag: three of them being the most popular.
To begin with, some people think that the national ensign was chosen by a nationalist member of the 'Literary Club' in Istanbul as the result of the impact the lyrics of a national poet had on him.
On the other hand, there might be possible that the Young Arab Society in Paris came up with the current design. Moreover, there is one last possibility that a member of the British Foreign Office designed it.
Facts and history of Palestinian flag indicate that the argument about the flag’s origin can go on and on. However, it is worthy to mention that the Palestinian flag has the basic Pan-Arab flag colours, mainly because most of the Arabic flags have their origins in the ensign of the Arab Revolt against Ottoman rule.
