Facts and History of Pakistan Flag

The star and the crescent: Facts and History of Pakistan Flag

Having the design based on the example of the Muslim League flag, the flag of the Pakistan state was adopted days before the state’s independence was declared (1947, August 11)

Facts and History of Pakistan flag show that like most of the Asian flags, this flag has basic religious symbolism as well: the dark green filed on which there are the crescent and the star designed represents the religious majority of Muslims in Pakistan, while the lateral white stripe represents the religious minorities of the state.

The crescent and the star have new meanings besides the popular religious ones: they stand for light, progress and peace.
