Facts and History of Pacific Community Flag

The islands’ paradise: Facts and History of Pacific Community Flag

The recent flag of the Pacific Community was adopted 1999 and has a slightly different design to the former flag: on a blue background, there is a circle of stars completed by a perfect designed arch.

Inside the circle there are the three symbols that characterize the Pacific Islands: the palm tree, the ocean and sails. The stars stand for each state in the union and the arch is the secretariat that keeps the states together.

In addition, facts and history of Pacific Community flag show that the sail and the ocean represent change and connection to others, while the palm three symbolizes the natural richness and prosperity of this community.
