New hope for Republica de Nicaragua: Facts and History of Nicaragua flag

Being adopted 1971 the flag of the Republica de Nicaragua has a similar flag to Argentine’s with a deep significance.

The recent adopted flag has the same symbols to the previous one engraved: volcanoes, the rising sun, a rainbow, and the most important, the Cap of Liberty surrounded by its name: Republica de Nicaragua.

To continue with the facts and history of Nicaragua flag, it is important to realize the deep significance the three blue and white horizontal stripes have: they symbolize peace and purity. Moreover, there is a strong traditional belief in the nature elements that are engraved on the flag: the rainbow suggests hope, and the five volcanoes invoke the five nations’ hope for a flourishing rebirth in freedom and hope.
