Facts and History of New Caledonia Flag

On the liberty road: Facts and History of New Caledonia Flag

The region of New Caledonia has a privileged status that gets from year to year closer to independence.

Being officially an overseas department of France, New Caledonia has the French tricolour as the official flag.

However, there are some aspects, facts and history of New Caledonia flag that are closer to the reality this island is heading to: striving for independence, this Pacific Ocean region is still keeping the French Pacific Franc currency instead of Euro and also has an unofficial particular flag with three horizontal colour stripes (green, red and blue) and a golden circle in the middle with a local representation of cheering people for liberty.
