Facts and History of Montenegro Flag

One of the youngest European states, Montenegro officially adopted its national flag on the 13th July 2004, a date that also marks the national day of Montenegro.

The Balkan region where Montenegro is situated was marked by continued conflict between the states. The Facts and history of Montenegro flag are all recent: the state’s constitution was proclaimed only on 22 October 2007 when the flag was once again acclaimed.

Having a unique design, a golden frame is surrounding the red rectangular shaped flag with the golden Montenegro coat of arms in its middle. The national flag is also the army flag of Montenegro and stands as a proof for a recent declared independence and a new beginning for its citizens.
