bedtimestoryforkids.netAccording to the local tradition, the national flag of Malta has this appearance from ancient times, back in 1091 when it was given by the Count Roger of Sicily.

The red and white national blazon of the Arms colours remained the symbol of Malta until the Crusades when the George Cross was added to it with the “For Gallantry” inscription on it

One of the most amazing facts and history of Malta Flag is that this flag is the only one that has a decoration from another country: from the King George VI of the United Kingdom for the citizens’ bravery during the terrible Second World War fights.
